Before we specify any chair, we consider ceiling height, window placement, nearby furniture, traffic flow, viewing angles, seat height and depth, and most importantly, how the room will actually be used.

A lower-profile chair may preserve a beautiful view; a taller chair can help anchor a room with expansive ceilings. Even the side table beside it is part of the equation. Proportion is a conversation between every piece in the room, not a decision made in isolation.

The same chair can feel completely different depending on the upholstery.
